Maria Guajardo, Albert Gonzales Wed in Christmas Season CeremonyA Christmas season wedding was that of Miss Maria Luisa Guajardo and Albert Gonzalez, which took place in Our Motherof Mercy Catholic Church.Father Patrick Burke, parish priest, performed the ceremony in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Santos Guajardo, Sr., 400 Belton, and Mr. and Mrs. Lupe Gonzalez, 909 Galveston.The main altar was decorated with candles and white carnations, while the side altars bore small arrangements of red-berried Christmas holly.The bride’s attendants included Mrs. Alfred Soldana, bridesmaid, and Miss Dora Cantuand Mrs. Santos Guajardo, Jr., maids-of-honor.Alfred Soldana was the best man and groomsmen were Alfred Soldana, Jr., and Santos Guajardo, Jr.Altar-boys assisting Father Burke were Gabriel Aguirre and Lupe Gonzalez, Jr., brother of the bridegroom.Mr. and Mrs. Zeldon Jenkins of Canyon were here over the ; holidays visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Palo Cummings, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Zeldon Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Cummings went to Temple for a few days to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mc-Creary.
