Dexter Couple Exchanges Vows In Candlelight CeremonyMR. AND MRS. REX ALLEN BRANSONMiss Moleah Rae Thompson became the bride of Rex Allen Branson Feb. 16 in a candlelight ceremony in the Dexter Christian Church. Rev. Bill Baker read the couple their double ring vows.The bride is the daughter of Roger B. Thompson and Mrs. Rosalie Thompson, both of Dexter, and 'ranson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. JoeG. Branson, Russell Springs, Kan. Twin seven branch candelabra, ent-wined with garlands of white daisies, greenery and blue lavender satin bows decorated the chancel area.Mrs. Jim Banks played a program of traditional wedding music by Bach and accompanied Miss Vicki Warren and Joe Warren as they sang “Color My World, ” “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “We’ve Only Just Begun. ”Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown, which she made of organza over satin featuring a lace-trimmed flounced hem which swept into a chapel length train. The bodice of the gown was trimmed in French chantilly lace. She wore a long lace-trimmed veil and carried a bouquet formed from one dozen white babyroses, greenery and babies' breath tied with love-knotted streamers.Miss Teresa Latta served as maid of honor and Miss Karen David as bridesmaid. Both bridal attendants wore long gowns of lavender knit.Best man was George Dyas and John Kieter served as groomsman. Mark Martin ushered guests to their seats.Sheree Brazle was flower girl and Jeff Swanson, ringbearer. Rice bags were distributed by Julie Swanson.The mother of the bride wore a brown wool suit with brown accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a blue knit dress with black accessories.Following the ceremony a reception was served in the Fellowship Hall, arranged by the bridegroom's aunt, Mrs. Robert Ryman. Refreshmentswere served guests from a table covered with a lavender and white cloth centered with an arrangement of blue carnations. The three-tierred cake was decorated in the bride's colors.For a wedding trip to Corpus Christi, Tex., the bride wore an orange and tan pantsuit with an orchid corsage taken from her bouquet.
