Reed and Mrs. Cal Gertsen ot Eagle Lake, took Mrs. Lizzie Kitts and Mrs. Maude Hough to Galveston Sunday to see an old school mate of theirs, Sam Lester and his wife. Mr.. Lester is principal of one ot the Galveston high schools. This is the first meeting since their school days ir. Tennessee about 50 years ago. They report a pleasant visit.Mrs. J. A. Barnett and Miss Vina Lee of Markham spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs.• Albert Dutcher and Jr.Dinner guests in the Albert Dutcher home Sunday included Mrs. TiUie Gibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sunderman, Mr. and Mrs.:* James Dutcher and son, Earl, Mrs. c J. A. Barnett and Miss Vina Lee of Markham.Miss Julia Tutt of Dallas, a student at Texas University, was a guest in the Chas. Causey home for the week-end.Mrs. A. J. Lyle, Fred Lyle and Fred, Jr., Mrs. Jake Wood and daughter, Betty Ruth of Eagle Lake visited in the Albert Dutcher home Sunday afternoon.Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johse spent the week in Fayettville with Mr. Johse's parents.Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Causey and Jeanette Sun-;day were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Causey Jr., and Miss Julia Tutt I of Austin, Raymond Thomas, George Causey and Gordon Cau-i sey.Gordon Causey has accepted a 'position in Houston.I Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hall and ! daughter Nellie Gene of Pledger were supper guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dutcher and Junior.Rev. and Mrs. Nevin Peterson | and Mrs. Harry Diess were Wharton visitors Monday, j Mrs. Maude Bryant has been 1 visiting the family of her son Clinton at Vanderbilt.Friends of Wilber Raasch. son of W. G. Bill” Raasch of Richmond, Texas, will be interested to learn of his marriage Saturday evening at 7 pjn. in Houston, to Miss Madclyn Marcsh. The young couple will make their home in Anglcton, where Wilber is engaged in rice farming.. The Raasch j family are former residents of jLlfieio. We all extend congratulations and best wishes for a long, happy and prosperous marriage.Mr. end Mrs. Andersen of Mt. Vernon, Ind., are visiting their uncle, Chris Gcrtson and other relatives in this vicinity.
