The two exchanged their vows and rings in a 2 o’clock ceremony conducted in Central Christian Church in Jefferson.Parents of the two are Mr and Mrs Robert D. Safley of Jefferson and Mr and Mrs Robert Frederick of Jefferson.The bride wore a floor length gown of candlelight ivory faille satin crowned with re-embroidered alencon lace on English netting. Wide bands of scalloped alencon lace adorned the molded bodice, high ring collar, empire waistline and full bishop sleeves. The front skirt fell softly into an A-line silhouette with gathers adding gentle fullness in tlie back skirt which swept into a full circular cathedral length train. The skirt was also embellished with lace motifs. The bride wore a full length mantilla of chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis.Gail Orris of Jefferson was maid of honor. Laine Larson of : Jamaica, cousin of the bride, and Jo Anne Minnehan of i Churdan were attendants. They wore floor length gowns fashioned with ivory satin and ,lace bodices completed with forest green velvet skirts. Each . carried a white rose bouquet.Rodney Frederick attended his brother as best man. -Groomsmen were Tom Safley,1 brother of the bride, and John Van Sickle. Bill Safley and Robert H. Safley, brothers of the • bride, were ushers.A reception followed the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church. Nanci Freeman of Ogden and Linda Larson of St Paul, MN, cut and served the cake which was made by Judy Larson. Connie Safley andpeena Frederick, sisters-in-law, of the bride, shared pouring honors. 'Mrs Duane Larson of'Jamaica1 and Mrs Charles Dunlop were reception hosts. Miss Shelly Stoline attended the guest book. Others assisting at the reception wers Marilyn Freeman, Janet Wind, Kim Larson, Cindy Ely, Sue Lorenzen, Kris Atteburg,Robin Larson and Beth Derry.The couple will make their home at Pammel Court in Ames. The bride is a 1972 graduate of Jefferson High School. She will continue her studies as a freshman at Iowa State University. The bridegroom, a 1970 graduate of Jefferson High School, will continue his studies as a junior at Iowa State University.
