Stroud-Harkey Vows Are SpokenMiss Beitv Lou Harkey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cress Harkey of Statesville, and Kenneth Franklin Stroud, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Stroud, Statesville, Route 4, were united in marriage Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. Paul Reece, pastor of Diamond Hill Baptist church. Only ^members of the families were present.The bride wore a navy blue suit with navy accessories ancl a corsage of white carnations. She is a graduate of Cool Spring high school and is employed at Empire Manufacturing Company.The bridegroom also attended Cool Spring school and is employed at the Southern Screw company.After a brief wedding trip the young couple will make their home on West Front street where they have taken an apartment.
