S. Air Force during World War II. and was graduated \ from University of Maine in June with a degree in engineering physics. He is a member of the U. S. Feb. 24_-Miss Ethel Mae Scamrhon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd G.'Scammon, 26 North Fourth Street, Old Town, became the bride of Gerald Earl Theriault, son of Mrs. Esther Theriault of Sanford in a candlelight ceremony in the Old Town Methodist Church Wednesday evening.Evergreen and lighted white tapers decorated the chancel for the ceremony with the Rev. Guy Wilson. pastor, officiating.Richard J. Snare..organist, presented a program of wedding music prior to the ceremony, and accompanied Miss Roberta Hendrick of Hiram, who was soloist.The bride, wore a ballerina length gown of white taffeta; fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and hoop skirt effect. The basque bodice featured lace inserts and her elbow-length mitts were of lace. The fingertip veil of nylon net and lace fell from a shirred band of net and lace. She carried a white Bible tbpped with a white orchid.Miss Rachel Rogers of Old Town^attended the bride as maid of hon-! or. She wore a gown of forest green 1 taffeta styled .like that of the | bride, and her headdress was of •white shattered carnations. She ; carried a colonial bouquet of white j roses and white carnations, j John Dutton of Sanford, at-j tended Mr. Theriault as best man. ! Mrs. Theriault's dress was of navy print and her accessories were pink. She wore a corsage of'pink carnations.Miss Frances Smart of Old Town was in charge of the guest book at the reception in the church parlors and Miss Mary Ellen Chalmers of Bangor served the wedding
