Shaffer of Cuba, and Lawrence Howard Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Johnson of North Eighth Street, this city, took place at St. Mary of the Angels’ Church this morning at nine o’clock, the Rev, Robert L. Buchheit, assistant pastor, officiating.. The attendants were Miss Frances Nowaczyk and Norman Johnson, the latter a brother of the bridegroom.The bride was attired in an at-S--—--:tractive gown of rose pastel woolwith accessories in powder blueand her only ornament was a goldlocket gift of the bridegroom.Her flowers were a shoulder corsage of gardenias and aweet peas.'Miss Nowacyk's gown was of powder blue with matching- accessories and her flowers,, a corsage of Columbia roses 'and sweet peas,. Mrs. Shaffer, mother of the bride, chose a gown of navy blue ercpe with accessories to blend and her corsage was of Briarcliff roses. . •The bridegroom's mother, Mrs.Johnson, was attired in a gown of dusty rose crepe with navy accessories and her corsage was of Johanna Hill roses.A wedding breakfast for-fifteen guests was served at the Hotel Stratton. The bridal table was centered with a tiered wedding cake •surrounded by white lighted tapers.After a brief wedding trip. Mr. and Mrs, Johnson will reside at 141U North Fifteenth Street.The bride is a graduate of Hinsdale Central School and Westbrook Academy. Mr, Johnson is an alumnus of Olean High School and Westbrook Academy.- . -LAKEWOOD, N. Y.—Mr. and. Mrs. Fred L. Otto. 38 Case Avenue. Lakewoocl, formerly of Olean, N. Y., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Evlync Lauretta, to Chester George Painter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Palmer also of Lakewood. The wedding will take place in the Spring.The engagement was revealed at a Valentine party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto at which the announcement was conceaied on favors of hearts pierced by cupid arrows.Miss Otto was graduated from the Lakewood High School where she was active in sports, music, dramatics ad recreational activities.
