Frost Craft Spoke the Impressive Ceremony—Handsome Decorations and a Fine Repast—The Visiting Guests.iaiA most happy and eatable event wai the marriage of Mis* Pauline Johnson and Reginald Cooper Angostine, which took plaoB at the home of the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson at 1760 North Water street at 3 o'clock la^t Bvening, in the presence of more than 100 guests.The ceremony was pronounoed by Rev. Frost Craft, pastor of the First M. E. oliarch and was most beautiful and lm-presiivB, the full Methodist Episcopal service being said.At the hour of 8 o'clock Miss Emily Hamsher played the hrldat chorus from Lohengrin, as the bride and groom descended the stairs and passad through the reoeption hall and to their plaoes before an arob of palms, mistletoe and holly in the north parlor. The ceremony that followed was most Impressive, the brldo and groom kneeling on a white satin pillow for the blessings'of the pastor.' While the words of the service were being said “Tha Sweetest Story Ever Told” was played softly by Miss Hamsber and at toe conclusion as the oongratutattoos were tendered Mendelssohn's wedding march was played.The bride wbb beautiful la’a simple gown of while silk mull over white silk made with high neck and long sleeves, with a broad sash of moire ribbon.' She carried bride's roses.Following the ceremony the wedding supper was served. The table at whloh the bridal party was seated was deoorated In pick and white rotes nud forn. Other M guests were seated at small tables plaoed In the dining room and south parlor. Mrs. Snyder served.The house was decorated throughout °l with palms, ferns, potted plants, holly, 1mistletoe and out flowers. In the reception hall and pa1 lors the mantles wero banked with petted plants and sprays of mistletoe, holly and asp tom were plaaedon the pictures and 6tair railings. Huge ^P1bowle Of pick and white rosea were placed oo the mantles and roses dap ended from the chandeliers,all giving a most be pleasing, beautiful and artistic effect.The guests were received ot tha door by Bert Johnson and upstairs Misses Mary Moore and Sarah Imboden were In attendance. Later Miss ImUoden and MissMoore nerved frappe In the south parlor. ® A number of presents wore received, ®among them being do mere us pieces of r«8 art pottery, etlser, china and cut sa. One specially worthy of mention was the deed to a lot in the 1700 blook, the gift of the father of the bride.A number of guest* were present from out of town. They were the . Hon. and Mrs, Thomas Cooper of Pekin, grandparents ot the groom, Mr. and Mrs. J. M, Coopor and son, Frank, of Cooper, III.; W. D. Cooper of Elliott, ill.; Mrs. S. U. Patten and daughter, Tells, of El Puso, 111.; Dr. Cfftr of Argenta and Dr. Wyatt of Peoria.Miss Johnson is the oniy daughter ofiMr, and Mrs. Milton Jcbnsou aotl bos always been mnob loved for her beauty of j character among her largo cirri* of friends She is prominently connectedwith the work of the First M. E. churohand the churoh societies.Mr. Augustine Is equally prominent in the work of the church and is identified with all the leading movement* in the □buroh societies.
