The funeral services conducted by Rev. Joseph Moulin were held at the Cat bolic Church at 10 a nj. Wednesday after which the body „was buried in Lockhart Cemetery.In the passing of Mr. Masur, Lockhart loses one of the oldest and most useful citizens. He wastwum in Rojrdnrf, flormany, andwas at the time of his death aged 79 years 4 months and 18 days. About four months ago he and the aged wife who survives him celebrated their golden wedding. He came to Lockhart in 1873 and at once identined himself with every interest for the.upbuilding of the town and surrounding country, By industry,- thrift and sound business judgment he succeeded in amassing a snug fortune. The life of Mr. Masur is a fit illustration of what willing hands and a stout heart can accomplish. Bravely facing all odds he left the Fatherland, cast his fortunes in America and began to ply his trade. His honest efforts inspired the confidence of his fellow citizens and he prospered One of the characteristics of Mr. Masur of which older citizens speak was his abounding faith in the resources of this section; no other thought than that of a bright future, great development and consequent advance in property values ever seemed to possess him. It is well that he lived to see his judgment in that respect affirmed. Honest, economical and industrious his example is worthy of imitation. He leaves besides his wife four children, Mrs. W. S. Vogel, Messrs. E. A., H.
