Jones celebrated his fourth birthday with a 10 a.m. party, February If), in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones.A western theme was carried out in all the decorations. The serving table was centered with the birthday cake holding 4 candles, the candle holders being small pistols. Arranged around the c ake were favors of plastic cowboys on their horses, all encircled within a fence.After opening the gifts, the' morning was spent in playing various games. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to the following friends present; Penny Baker, Cynthia and Carolyn Hood, Pat and Eddie Kerr, Kala Ann Jones and Allen Ray Flaugher.child. |Mentally retarded children who are below level in their classes, often excell in P. E.Mrs. Anderson talked about arts and crafts and mental health. To create something with your own hands gives a definite feeling of success. Mrs. Anderson displayed some art work and hand crafts made by her junior high school students.Refreshments were served to guests and members attending: Mesdames H, B. Loyd, C. L. Boren, Nora Cargile, Curtis Spivey, Anderson, Dayton Elam, Miss Doris Johnson and the hostesses, Miss Pope and Miss Fralin.The next meeting will be in the home of Mrs. Dayton Elam.Mr. Jobe Celebrates 79th BirthdayA buffet style dinner was held in the home of P. L. Jobe Sunday, February 19, to celebrate his 79th birthday. Approximately 85 friends, relatives and children were present during theday.Of the 13 children living only two were absent. One daughter, who lives in California and a son living in New Mexico were unable to be here for the occasion.^ The marriage of Miss Brenda Kay Hudson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hudson of Rt. 2, Seminole, and Donald Lee Clem ent, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Clement of Seminole, was solemnized Saturday, February 18, at 7 p.m. in ihe First Baptist Church. Rev. H. B. Christian read the double ring ceremony with only members of the immediate families and close friends attending.The bride wore a periwinkle blue Dressmakers’ suit of imported linen, fashioned with a pencil slim skirt and boxy jacket. Her accessories were black and white and she wore a corsage of white rose buds.Her only attendant was Miss Carolyn Luttrell, who wore an ice pink wool Dressmakers’ suit and pink and white accessories. Her corsage was a white rose bud.Wayne Simms served the groom as best man.Both the bride and groom attended Seminole High School, the bride being a member of Sigma Delta Chi.After a wedding trip to points of interest in New Mexico, the couple will make their home at 612 S. E. 2nd in Seminole where Mr. Clement is employed with the B. B. and M. Drilling Co.Junior Study Club Elects Officers
