A Very Pretty Church Wedding*At St. Mary’s church, Wednesday morning at nine o’clock, the ceremony that united Sylvester Ahlering and Miss Mary Spitzmesser together as husband and wife, was performed by Rev. Father Fichuer, assisted by ReT*. Father Delaney, of Westport, and Rev. Father Urich, of Millhousen.The wedding party was escorted from the home of the bride’s parents t) the church by the Knights of Sf, John, in full uniform. Arriving at the church they were preceded to the altar by Margarete Spitzmesser and Beatrice Schludecker, little girls who scattered flowers along the way. Then came the contracting parties, followed by the maid of honor, Miss Lena Spitzmesser, and Joseph Deemer, the bridesmaids, Misses Josie Trilling and Lorena Ahlering, and Charles Kessing and Frank Louden.A sumptuous wedding feast was spread at the home of the bride’s parents, following the ceremony, where Guthrie’s orchestra rendered some choice music.The happy couple left on the evening train for Chicago, where they will spend their honeymoon, after which they will return to this city and be at home to their friends on East Washington street.The bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Spitzmesser.
