WHEELAND(Photo by Ted Davis)Carol Ann Buttorff Robert Wheeland wed.JERSEY SHORE - Grace Lutheran Church, Jersey Shore, was the setting for the wedding Saturday, Feb. 14 of Miss Carol Ann Buttorff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren A. Buttorff, Jr., Glover Street Extension, Jersey Shore, and Robert Louis Wheeland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Wheeland, of 306 Glover Street, Jersey Shore.The Rev. John Lauffcr performed the 2 p.m. ceremony before an altar decorated with t vases of white gladioli, pompons, carnations and red roses. Each pew throughout the church was arranged with casual bouquets of red roses and white pompons.The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attired in a floor-length gown of ivory colored French crepe trimmed in a Baroque pattern of Quipure lace, fashioned with a bateau neckline and full length bouffant sleeves. A chapcl-length mantilla of silk illusion appliqued in matching Quipure lace fell from a white pillbox, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white and red roses, and white miniature carnations with lily of the valley.Miss Carlenc Homier, Jersey Shore, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ira Rossman, Jersey Shore. HD 2, and Miss Sharon Buttorff, cousin of the bride, Jersey Shore. They wore floor-length gowns of red velvet featuring an Empire waistline and white lace sleeves, and designed with a red velvet JJior bow at the hack. Each of the attendants had a matching velvet bow headpiece, They carried modified crescent bouquets of white miniature carnations and pompons with red roses.Thomas Schnars, Williamsport, acted as best man. Ushers were Ronald Harris and Michael Buttorff, brother of the bride, both of Jersey Shore.A reception was held in the social rooms of the church following the ceremony. They went to New York on their wedding trip.The bride is a graduate of the Jersey Shore High School and is employed as a secretary with Buttorff Plumbing and Heating in Jersey Shore.Mr. Wheeland graduated from the Jersey Shore High School, and the Williamsport Hospital School of Radiation Technology, and is serving with the Navy.George Klines living in AvisMr. and Mrs. George D. Kline are living in Avis following their marriage in Berwick on Feb. 14. Mrs. Kline is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guisewitc, Avis.
