Couple FetedAt Deadwood1I?IprCCongratulations were extended to Mr. and Mrs. Delos Watson on the occasion of their 32nd wedding anniversary on February 4.Mr. and Mrs. Watson were a much-surprised couple when son Gordon called that evening to take them for a drive and visit Mr. and Mrs. R. Karlson for a short time. When they returned, the house was crowded with friends and relatives, who had gathered to surprise them.Card tables were soon set up and decorated with flowers and about thirty guests sat down to a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. After dinner, whist was played, and later in the evening, lunch was served, buffet style.Bill Burroughs, on behalf of those present, *• presented the couple with a four-piece silver service, with money tucked into the teapot.The bride and groom of 32 years ago expressed their heartfelt thanks to all the guests for the party and the gift.Mrs. Watson wore a powder blue dress with yellow roses for i* c corsage and Mr. Watson wore a white bouttoniere.ist#12hJIeftcrtsChinook weather bathed the district recently, but winds were sometimes as high as 50 miles an hour. Now it has turned colder and a light covering of snow is on the ground.The Pearson Bros., with their sister, Mrs. Walter Lindgurge, are leaving for Edmonton and Camrose for medical treatment, for Mrs. Lindgurge and Godfried Pearson.We are sorry to hear of the illness of Mrs. Gordon Loras, the former Winnie Ashworth, and hope she will soon be well again.An important meeting of the Home and School Association was held Monday night, February 8, at the school to discuss the government’s idea of having Grade 12 students teach the primary grades.i\ifI\c
