Aia.# # # #Miss Billie Irene Watkins, whowill be married to William Gardner at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church, has been complimented with a series of pre-nuptial parties. Miss Marjorie Legan, 315 Connor avenue, entertained with a crystal shower Friday in honor of Miss Watkins. The gifts were wrapped in cellophane and were presented in a large lavender umbrella. Games were played and the prizes were presented to the honor guest. The ices were in the form of slippers and the cakes were miniature goblets. Other guests were Mrs. Otto C. Seymour, Misses Myrtle Legan, Dorothy Brown, Dorothy Friend, Lorraine Bethel, Lois Winter, Sarah Potter, Billie Irene Watkins, Pauline Patterson, Catherine Chinn, Eleanor Ebenstein and Mary Alice Farris.Miss Watkins was. honored with a party and kitchen shower given last night by Miss Dorothy Brown at her home, 404 North Moffet avenue. Hearts formed the entertainment and the prizes were presented to Miss Watkins. The guest list included the following: Billie Irene Watkins, Mrs. Allie Rose, Mrs. Pauline Loomis, Mrs. Otto Seymour, Mrs. F. C. Gardner, Miss Mary Feerick, Miss Mary Alice Farris, Miss Martha Prescott, Miss Lois Winter, Miss Lorraine Bethel, Miss Nancy Gardner, Miss Eleanor Ebenstein, Miss Elsie Schuette, Mis3 Dorothy Friend, Miss Georgia Saunders, Miss Dorothy Reuter and Miss Mary Beth Hastings,Mr. and Mrs. George Winter will entertain the bridal party at the rehearsal dinner Saturday night in the Lou Davis tearoom.
