Miss Stevens is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stevens of rural Brazil.She will marry Ronnie Crowder, son of Robert Crowder of Parke County, on Feb. 26 in the Church of the Nazarene, Rockville.Guests included Edith, Kathy, Debbie, Karen, Thelma, Marie Stevens, Janette Mass, Nancy Pell, Rita Trout, Barbara Jones, Janella Jones, Teresa Holloway, Tias Stigler, Delilah Williams,Angela and Sharon Orman, Kelly Orman and the hostess, Mrs. Orman.Daisey Morlan who died last week was the sister-in-law of Bessie Phillips of Knightsville.Clysta Withers and Emma James are on our sick list this week. We wish them a speedy recovery.Nature has a w ay of taking care of things. The heavy snow is gone and the Easter lilies and tulips are coming up.People of the Tower Road have been w ithout w ater for a week.Ann Taylor, who drives the Senior Citizens Van, has kept Wednesday of each week for people needing to go to doctors,pick up medicine, grocery shop or visit the beauty shop.Last Wednesday, 11 ladies made use of this wonderful service for a small donation. Call Ann the night before to make an appointment, 443-5801.The Clay County Horse and Pony 4-H Club met at the Community House Monday, Feb. 14.The Senior Citizens Club of Brazil is meeting again on Wednesday evenings for their euchre games at the Community House.The boys in town are again making good use of the basketball court and it’s nice to see them enjoying themselves.Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pflueger of Knightsville are the proudparents of a son, Andrew Scott, born J an. 15.Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pflueger and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Slater, Jr. of Brazil. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pflueger of Knightsville.REACT, recently organized in Clay County, means Radio Emergency Association Citizens Team. It exists solely on membership dues and donations and is composed of volunteers who monitor Channel 9 to help citizens in trouble.Duties include reporting accidents and careless drivers to local authorities and to report bad road conditions to motorists. The 25 team members monitor roughly 20 hours daily.Saturday night REACT used the Community House for its Bingo, Beans and Coffee Break. Local merchants gave wonderful donations and REACT thanks everyone for their help.Anyone interested in REACT should call Diona Mecila, 443-2031, or Bottle Washer on Ch. 6 of your CB radio.Lucy France is still a patient in the Community Hospital, Indianapolis.Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rodgers and sons, Mrs. Carolyn Neese and Ronda and Mrs. Zella Neese attended the wedding of Ruth Eggers, held at Mt. Meridian Baptist Church Feb. 12. Miss Eggers is the granddaughter of M rs. Zella Neese.
