Burkhart, Ney exchange VowsMrs. Milton Nicholas NeyMirs Margaret L Burkhart of Larned, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pete Burkhart, became the bride of Mr. Milton Nicholas Ney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ney of Claflin on Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart church in Larned. The Rev. Aloyious Priesner performed the double-ring cere-j mony before an altar decorated with baskets of red and white carnations with greenery.The children’s choir sang the mass of the Blessed Mother. Sister Mary Loretta, organist, accom-j panied Miss Sir la Moore of Larned as she sang Pani? Angeiicus and On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother.The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Pete Burkhart, of Dodge City, wore a gown of imported Chantilly lace and tulle 'over bridal satin. The bodice featured a Sabrina neckline and long sleeves of lace. The bouffant skirt of lace and tulle was appliqued and jeweled with sequins andpearls to match the bodice. Theskirt ended in a cathedral tram. Her veil of tulle fell from a liny jeweled crown of pearls and indescents and she carried a bouquet of red carnations and white steph-anotis in a heart-shaped design with red satin streamers. Something old was a hand-crocheted half slip that her mother wore on her wedding day.Miss Carol Jacobs of Peublo, Colo , served as matron of honor and Mrs. Paul Jones of Peublo. Colo., was bridesmaid. The aitend-dants wore ballerina length gowns j of white silk taffeta, princess style, with accents of romance red. Their A headpieces w’ere matching red hats of Heart shape with seed pearl trimming and matching shoes They carried bouquets of red carnations in heart shape with red satin streamers.Attending the bridegroom as . best man was Mr. Bernard Kirmer j of Dorrance, Groomsman was Mr. -Vince Dolecheck of Hoisington. , Mr. Clarence Beiberle of Hoising- j ton and Mr. Keith Abbott of Jet- \ more were ushers.Mrs. Ney was attired in a wedge- 1 wood blue crepe dress with white * accessories and she wore a cor- * «age of red and white carnation. lt;Miss Mary Ann Penka of Larned. was in charge of the guest book, at the reception held at the ( Rose room of the Blue Goose Cafe in Larned. Mrs. Lester Lee of t Liberal cut the cake from a table i decorated in the red and white J theme. Assisting were Miss JoAnn ' Lubbers of Hoisington. Miss Shar- i on Hltz of Hudson and Miss Kath- a ryn Andrews of Larned.The bride is a graduate of Han-ston high school and the Dominican School of Nursing in Great Bend. She is employed at St. Jo- , sephs hospital in Larned.
