Otis Metzger Marries Francis Luther of PerryMiss Prances Luther ,of Perry and Otis Metzger of Grand Junction were united in marriage Saturday, January 26, at Carthy, Missouri. The ceremony was performed by Judge Wheeler at his home and was witnessed by several friends of the groom from Carthy, I Kansas City and Springfield. |The bride is the younger daughter of Mrs, Blanche Luther of Perry. She was bom in the Junction but as a little girl, moved to Perry with her parents. Mrs. Metzger was a student at the Perry high school where she was a popular young lady.Mr. Metzger is the son of Mrs. Cassie Metzger and was bom and raised in J the Junction. He graduated from the} Grand Junction high school in 1921} after which he attended the Capital City Commercial college in Des Moines, the University of Iowa, Drake University, the University of Southern California, and graduated from the law school at the University of Arizona at Tucson. Since he passed the bar, he j has practiced in Tucson and Des Moines. He returned to Grand Junction four years ago, but in that time he has tried cases in Arizona and Orange, California.After the ceremony, the wedding party drove to Springfield for a dinner at a hotel after which they were entertained at the Lensing home. The newly-weds departed the next day for Omaha where they stopped at the Blackstone hotel.Mrs. Metzger was hostess at a tea Wednesday afternoon at the hotel. Her guests were- Mesdames Henderson, Harry Wolf and Cahow of Omaha and Miss Muriel Taylor of Carroll. Wednesday evening, January 30, Mr. and Mrs. Metzger were the honored guests at a chicken dinner and dance given by Miss Muriel Taylor and her brothers, Clifford and John.Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kepke of Carroll entertained Mr. and Mrs. Metzger, Miss Mary Luther of Perry, sister of the bride, and Jerome Drees of Carroll at dinner Friday evening, February 1, at the Kepke apartment In Carroll after which the happy couple returned to Grand Junction where they will make their home for a time.—Gxtend Junction Globe.(
