Mrs. John Louis Parrott Jr.Married in AndersonMiss Sharyl Ozelle Smith became the bride of Dr. John Louis Parrott Jr. in a ceremony Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church in Anderson.Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis Smith, Anderson, are parents of the bride. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Louis Parrott Sr., Athens, Tex.The Rev. Dean Royce officiated at the ceremony before an altar decorated with an arrangement of white mums, a basket of white carnations and twin candelabras.Joan Cooper was organist and accompanied Kervyn Smith, brother of the bride, soloist.The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a formal-length dress of white silk organza, designed with an empire bodice covered with Chantilly lace. Long, tapered sleeves were also of lace. The aisle-wide chapel train was bordered with matching Chantilly lace and was secured at the shoulders with two small Dior bows. Her waist-length veil was of illusion. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of white carnations entwined with lavender ribbons and streamers.Miss Wanita Braun, Spring-field, Ohio, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Ila Presley, Houston, Tex., was . bridesmaid. They .wore, identical gowns of purple polyester crepe made in an anlde'lertgth with high round neckline with stand-up collars. Leg o’mutton sleeves were edged in lavender as was the collar and empire waistline. Each carried one long stemmed white carnation.Eldon Smith served his brother as best man. Ushers were Tim Hobbs and Herbert Schackleford.Tammy Rasmussen, cousin of the bride, was flower girl and Troy Lewis, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.The bride’s mother wore a navy blue, polyester knit dress with white trim. Her accessories were navy blue and red. The bridegroom’s mother wore a pink, double knit street-length dress with beige accessories.A reception was held in the church dining room following the ceremony.The bride is a graduate of McDonald County High School and Midwest Bible Institute, Houston, Tex. The bridegroom graduated from Athens, Texas schools, Henderson County Junior College, San Jacinto College of Pasadena, Tex. and Texas Chiropractic College. He recently received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and began his own practice in Plano, Tex., Feb. 7.Following a wedding trip to Arkansas the couple are at home in Plano, Tex.New residents in Diamond areaDIAMOND (Special) - A number of new residents have moved in the Diamond area recently. They are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rice who have moved into the house across the street from the Wilbur Staib home in Diamond. The Nelson England family had been residing in the home before moving to the CullumApartments..Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ludwig and family have moved into Iheir new , home east of Diamond. They had been residing in town before moving to their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Musser are presently living in their new nome in Diamond north of the Memorial Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Cole and their children, Lauri, Curtis, Joyce and Kevin of St. Joseph, Mo., are now living on Route 1, Diamond. They have moved their new home northwest of Diamond near the county line.
