«—■— *r-Miss Bowman Weds Lieut Garrett In RenoThe home of Dr, and Mrs. W. J. Walker at 510 Walker avenue was Ike scene of a pretty home wedding Friday evening when Miss Marian Y. Bowman and 1st Lt. C, K, Carrel t of Chicago were married by Rev, James Asa White of the Reno Baptist church. For the happy occasion the Walker home was decorated with flowers and the bridal party stood before the fireplace, which was barked with white flowers and ferns wilh candles and flowers on the mantel,The attendants were 1st Lt. and Mrs. Hugene Gastanaga, who accompanied the bridal couple hereMrs. C, r. Sloan prcscmcu mrs. Margaret Turano of the Washoe County Red Cross, who spoke on the extensive program being carried on by the Red Cross both here md abroad. A description of the work in San Francisco, both with the hospital ships and material being prepared for shipment overseas, was given in a very interest-front Camp Cook, California. Lieutenant Gastanaga is a brother ol Mr-', Walker.The bride was attractive in i powder blue ensemble with a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Gastnnng; wore a black and white outfit, accented wilh a gardenia corsage.Following the ceremony an in formal reception tool: place am yesterday morning Mrs. Walker on tertaincd wilh a wedding breakfas honoring Lieutenant Garrett am ins bride. J Walker, Lieutenan and Mrs. Eugene Gastanaga am Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gastanaga.Lieutenant ar.d Mrs. Garret spent the weekend in Reno and at companicd by Lieutenant and Mr; Gastnnogn will leave tomorrow flt;: Camp Cook to resume their dutic there.
