Mary Irene Frey and Archie Arth ur Wheeler were united in the holy bonds of marriage at high noon Saturday Feb. 8, 1941 at the home of the brides parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Frey at their home near Wadena. Rev. Russel P. Nelson of Volga City officiated using the single ring cere mony. Miss Dora Frey sister of the bride was bridesmaid and Joy. Whee ler brother of the groom was best man. The bride’s gown was rose alpaca crepe and the bridesmaid wore a dress of blue alpaca crepe. The groom wore a blue suit and the best man a suit of grey. The Misses Nellie ‘Whittenbaugh and Mary Dicy Lenhart sang “I Love You Truly” with Mrs. Russell P. Nel son playing the accompanying on the piano. Mrs. Nelson also played the wedding match. After congratulations a two course wedding was served to fifteen imme diate relatives. Mesdames Robert Frey and Hans Baumgartner served the dinner. The waitresses were Mrs. Ray Fleihler and the Misses Nellie Whittenbaugh and Mary Dick Lenhart. The room decorations were in the color scheme of rose and white. Centering the brides tables was a lovely two tier wedding cake topped with white wedding bells, rose and white flowers decorated the lower tier. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Frey. She is well known and highly esteemed young lady. Several shower courtesies have honored Mrs. Wheeler. The groom is a highly respected young farmer. The newly weds will live on the farm known as the late Perkins farm. The bride is a granddaughter of the late Warren Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Wheeler will be at home after Feb. 15, 1941.
