UNITED IN MARRIAUEFriedes- Steffes.Cards are out announcing'the marriage of Miss Alary Agnes Friedes daughter of Mrs Sophia Friedes of Willow Springs, to Air Matthias Steifes. The marriage took place at St. Michael’s Church in Calamine, Wednesday morning, February 5, at nine o’clock nuptial high mass, Father Morris officiating.The bride wore a beautiful gown of blue and white figured georgette crepe over blue silk and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. She was attended by the groom’s niece Miss Natalia Kauffman, who wore a gown of blue taffeta silk. Jacob Friedes, brother of the bride, served as best man. After the ceremony a bounteous wedding dinner and supper were served to relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s mother, followed by a dance to the Victrola music.Mr and Mrs Steffes are both respected and esteemed. They received many beautiful gifts, and have the good wishes of many friends for much happiness. They will reside on the groom’s farm near Calamine.
