Four big American Legion posters have been placed on outdoor signboards leading to Newton, and will remain on display for the ne^t I three weeks, J. VV. Halden. commander of the local Legion post, said today. The signs appear at ilie east and west edges of Newton on highway No. ♦ and north and south on highway No. 14.The posters are in four colorswith the message Hold High The Torch of Freedom,” in big lettering ,i the top. A quotation, “Thank Cod I Am An American,** appears hr.fore a reproduction of the torch,iid hand of the famous Statue ofl.ibert'* in New York, N. Y., harbor. \ typical Legionnaire and the Legion's insignia also appear promin-ntly on the sign.The Legion is distributing 30,-mm outdoor posters throughout the nation and the posters are being displayed through the sponsorship of the numerous posts.Students HearCross, Brierly
