MBS. M. GIBBONS TOBE TRIED NEXT WEEKSubpoenas are twins- served in tbU city summoning quite a number- of witnesses to West Union in the case of the State of Iowa vs. Martha Gibbons, indicted for murder in the second degree. The case is expected to open Monday afternoon; and will be one of the most dramatic in this term of the District Coart. .The indictment alleges that on or about January 11 Mrs. Gibbons performed a criminal operation upon the person of Mrs. John Wearer, as a result of which death ■ followed in two weeks. The main testimony will be furnished by three physicians and the uurae called in the case. When arraigned Monday she took' a week to plead. It is said that she will deny the cnarge.
