To-Day’s Ceremonies.There will be a lively manifestation of popular feeling to-day, upon the arrival of the President-elect. The Citizens' Committee of Arrangements, the Chief Marshal and his Aid?, the Military, and citizens generally, have been actively engaged in perfecting arrangements for the hearty welcome and entertainment of our distinguished guest. The national flag, and bunting of every description, will float from house-tops and across the streets upon the line of procession, an4 we heaf of many private arrangements for honoring the Presidential cortegje upon the line of march.The progress of the President-elect, and suite, down to his arrival in Indianapolis, will be found fully reported by our special correspondents. under the telegraphic head. As heretofore announced, he will arrive at the Depot of the Indianapolis and Cincinnati road, foot of Wood street, at ten minutes past three o'clock, when he will be welcomed by a national salute from Capt. Amis’ Artillery, especially detailed for that purpose.Here be will be received on behalf of the-city by Mayor Bishop, and after a brief response, will enter a carriage drawn by four white horses, and accompanied by the Mayor, will take position immediately in the rear of the military escort; consisting of Gen. Bates' Brigade, and proceed over tho following line of march:West on Front to Freeman: north on Freeman to Sixth; east on Sixth to Mound; north on Mound to Eighth; east on Eighth to Kim; north on Elm to Fifteenth; East on Fifteenth to Vine; South on Vine to the Burnet House.* e jIn the absence of Brigadier General Bates, the military will be under the command of Major General Wm. H. Lytles.The civic procession will be formed by Miles Greenwood, Esq., assisted by Enoch T. Carson, Esq., and others.The President elect will probably reach the Burnet House at about 5 o’clock, when soon after his arrival, be will appear upon the cor« ner balcony and be introduced to the people by the Mayor. Here will be the best place both to see and hear him.In the evening a public levee will be held in the large dining room of the Burnet House, when our citizens generally will have an opportunity to pay their respects to their eminent visitor.
