Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Spray of Salem, Iowa, Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary, Salem, Ia., Feb. 11.—Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Spray, who live one mile west of Salem, celebrated their gold en wedding anniversary Feb 4. They have spent the 50 years of their lives near Salem and to this union were born three children, who are as follows: Mrs. Ella Roth of Ottumwa, Miss Clara Spray, Quincy and Max Spray of Hillsboro. A lovely dinner was served by the two daughters, Mrs. Roth and Miss Clara Spray, to which about 40 of their relatives and friends did jus tice. They received many beautiful and valuable present which goes to show of the love and respect they hold among their many friends. Al ways active in their work In church and community and ready to do some good deed wherever the oppor tunity is presented. In the evening another crowd which consisted of their young friends arrived and com pletely surprising them. Those pres ent to the dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Spray, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Spray, Mr. and Mrs.. Tom White, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Tribby, Mr. and Mrs. L. McCoy, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Graves, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Parkins, Mr. and Mrs. Comely Hallowell, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lamm, Rev. Vin cen, Mrs. Margaret Spray, Mrs. Liz zie Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Roth, Clara Spray, Mr. and Mrs. Max Spray and family. Those present in the evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bunker, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morrison and family, Mrs. Floyd Berry, Miss Mary Berry, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Brown and family, Mr. and Mrs. B. Mat thews and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred White, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Guy and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tribby.
