Pretty Wedding Near SwedesburgWednesday Evening.A very pretty wedding occurred at the beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Anderson, seven miles north of this city, on Wednesday evening, February 9, 1916, at six o'clock, when their daughter, Edna Irene Elizabeth Anderson, became the bride of Mr. Carl M. Richard Carlson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Carlson. Both bride and groom are natives of Henry county, and are recognized among her best young people. Promptly at six o’clock the wedding march, rendered by Miss Minnie Carlson, sent forth its strains, and the happy pair took their place in the marriage bower prepared for the occasion. The service was read by Pastor Frank Weston of the First Baptist church of Mt. Pleasant. A very pretty ring ceremony was used. Mr. Edward Carlson served as groomsman and Miss Esther Anderson as bridesmaid. After congratulations a delicious dinner was served.The bride was beautifully gewned in white. The color scheme in the decorations was pink and white. About thirty guests were present. Those present were: Mrs. Dr. Eck-holm, Miss Esther Anderson, Mr. Edward Carlson, Miss Minnie Carlson, Mrs. Ray Roxberg and daughters, Aleda and Ruby; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Anderson, and daughter, Margaret; Miss Alma Anderson, Mr. Carl Anderson, Mr. arfd Mrs. Fred Woline and sons, Oliver and Arthur; Miss Ruth Larson, Mr. Fred Odean, Mr. Edward Ekstrom, Mr. Primus Pihl. Miss Iiora Pantzer, Miss Esther Ilultqpist, Miss Otelia Larson and Mrs. Gust Palmquist,Mr. and Mrs. Carlson are among the county's moBt deservedly popular young people. They will reside on the farm of the groom’s father near Hwedesburg. Many congratulations follow them.
