At the home of the parents of the j bride five miles northeast of Hospers , at high noon on Thursday February second 1911 occurred the marriage of Jacob Tillema and Miss Niesje Jeanette Klein jan. Rev, G. H Douwstra performed the ceremony in the presence of relatives. The sister of the bride, Miss Jeanette Klein jan played the wedding march. The bride wbb not attended and looked beautiful in her gown of sousine silk trimmed with Valencia lace, A reception was held at the bride’s home in the afternoon and evening. The young people were presented with many gifts. The Young Ladies Mission Band presented them with a beautiful kitchen set. The parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs, Ncord-hoff of Orange City—a well known Orange City family. The bride’B parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Kleinjan, reside near Hospers on a farm and are prominent in their community. The groom has been engaged in farming, while the bride haB been at home, assisting her mother and preparing herself for her new duties. The vouug people will be at home to their friends after March first, on a farm near Newkirk. Guests attending the festivities from abroad were: Mr. and Mrs. Den Hartog of Lake Park Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. J. Woods of Milford Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. J. Kleinjan of Everly Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tillema of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. H. Tillema of Sheldon, Wm.1 Damhof of Fulton Illinois.
