Miss Joan Phelps Becomes Bride Of Thomas M. Mosman in Church RitesThg Burleson County CITIZEN, Thursday, February 9, 1967Wedding vows were exchang- ied by Miss Joan Elaine Phelps | and Thomas Michael Mosman at 9 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church. The Very Rev.J. Mosman of Dal las, uncle of the bridegroom,the Mass and directed the exchange of vows in a double ling ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phelps of Chriesman and Mr. and Mrs. John Mosman.The bride's father gave herin marriage. She wore a floor ;length gown of white French 1. - 1lace over satin with moulded basque bodice, Sabrina neckline, long petal point sleeves and controlled skirt. Pearlized orange blossoms held her finger tip veil and she carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations.Miss Geraldine Phelps of iChriesman was her sister’s maid of honor and Miss Carol j Mosman, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. They wore full length royal blue Em-of peau de soiewith A-line skirts, short sleevesand elbow length white gloves. A rose of blue peau and circular veil formed their hoadoiece andeach carried a single long-stemmed yellow rose bud.Jerry Mosman of Dallas attended his nrotner as best man and the bride’s brother Richard Allen Phelps of Chriesman was groomsman.Capt. John T. McDonnell of Fort Lewis, Wash., brother-in-law of the bridegroom and Billy Hopfer of Gainsville ushered. Tom and Tim Hennigan, bridegroom’s cousins, and Myron Hess were candle lighters and Mass servers.Gerald Payne, organist, and Miss Bettye Dodds, vocal so-losit, presented wedding music. Miss Dodds sang “The Lord's Prayer before the I Lord 1 am Not Worthy at the communion and “Ave Maria after Mass when the bride presented the traditional bouquet at the Blessed Virgin’s altar. The main altar was adorned with white gladioli.Wedding reception, cocktail hour and brunch were held in the Parish Hall attended by 119 guests, relatives and friends of the two families. They were registered by Mrs. Richard Allen Phelps. Miss Sharlene Wim-mer and Mary Wimmer presided at the punch bowl. OtherMRS.
