JEAN NICHOLS WEDSThe Rev. Dr. O. R. Sellers of McCormick Seminary, Chicago, a family friend, heard the exchange of nuptial vows on Saturday, Feb-, ruary 4, at 7 o'clock in the evening when Mi** Jmn AHrr Nichols became the bride of Michael John Galanos, II, at the Presbyterian church. Miss Nichols is the daughter of* Mr.- and Mrs. Hiram V. Nichols of 47 Elm avenue, High-wood, and Mr. Galanos is the son of Justice and Mrs. John M. Calanos of Athens, («recce.The bride, who was' given in marriage by her father, was gowned in while satin made with long sleeves ami a high neck and ending in a long train. IJer veil was fingertip length and she carried a shower. bouquet of white roses, white camellias and lilies of the vulley.Miss Carol Laegelcr, cousin of the bride, wore pale green satin. The skirt of the dress was made with two flying panels in hack. She wore long white glcwivl. Her flowers weft'a cascade of Ameri-can Beauty roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Eloise Mattheis and Miss Ruth Fredrickson, Wore American Beauty satin dresses made exactly like that of the maid of honor. They, too, wore long white gloves. They carried carf-cades of pale pink roses.. Miss Fredrickson also sang, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Harold Mattheis of Chicago.Michael Ycary of Lake Bluff served the bridegroom as best man and Hiram V. Nichols, Jr.. brother of the bride, and Roger I*aegeler, her cousin, ushered.The bride’s nether wore French blue crepe, silver bead trimmed, and a pink hat trimmed with pink camellias. Her corsage, too, was of pink camellias.One hundred and ten guests attended the reception that followed at the Nichols' home.The bride? a graduate pf Highland Park lfigtr school and *the Cosmopolitan School of Music, also attended Lake Forest college. Mr. Gal an os, whose father is a member of the Court of Appeals in Athens, attended Athens university where he was an electrical engineering student. At present he is employed by the War department, doing reseatrh work in electronics.
