Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fitzgerald of Pomeroy are the parents of a son born Thursday, Jan. 31, in Mercy hospital, Ft. Dodge. The Fitzgeralds just recently moved from Palmer. They also have a daughter, Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Mounts ,and Michael of Munster, Ind.. Spent a few days last week in the parental J. Swanson home, Mrs. Ch arles Olson, Jon, Joel and DeAnn were Friday dinner suests in the home of the for mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hoffert, at Pocahontas, Mrs. Elnora Olson, Ruth and Richard were Wednesday even ing visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lakin at Poca hontas. The birthday of Mrs. Lakin was observed. Announce Engagements Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wessels of Palmer announce the engage ment and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Ann, to Paul Munzenmay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Muenzenmay of Havelock. The couple will be married April 20 at 7 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Palmer. Miss Wessels, a graduate of Palmer High school, attended Ft. Dodge Community College. Mr. Muenzenmay is a graduate of Havelock-Plover High school and attended Wartburg College at Waverly. He is employed at the Farmers Co-op Elevator at Pocahontas. Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn A. Kroske of Pomeroy announce the engagement and approach ing marriage of their daughter, Pauline Anne, to Eugene Den nis Siefken of Palmer. The couple has chosen Feb. 24 as their wedding date. Miss Kroske, a 1962 graduate of Pomeroy High school, is em ployed at Al’s Grocery at Pomeroy. Mr. Siefken, a 1961 graduate of the Palmer High school, is employed at the Stan dard Station at Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Garry Bauer and children were Sunday din ner guests in the Raymond Wil liams home at Webster City. The supper honored the birthday of Ray Ihnen. Mrs. Elnora Olson and Ruth visited Sunday in the home of the former’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Aden, at Manson. To observe 40th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Hartman of Palmer will observe their 40th wedding anniversary Sun day, Feb. 17, with an open house in their home. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 2 to 6 p.m. Hosts for the event will be their children and their families, Richard at home, Elsie of Ft. Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Alig, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hartman, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hartman. Rev. Coldwell, a student pas tor, held his first service in Trinity Methodist Church at Palmer, Sunday. He replaced Rev. Scott Holmes who has served the Palmer church for the past few years. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Nomann, Betty Jean and Jimmie were Sunday dinner guests in the parental Charlie Pohl home at Mallard. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Clark and Jon of Rockwell City were Sunday dinner guests in the Percy Leadley home. Sunday supper guests in the Mrs. Florence Pearson home were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rei ter, Sandra and Randy, Jeanne Blomberg and Albert Long. The dinner honored the 21st birth day of Gary Pearson. Sunday ¢ dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Rohlfs were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Essing , and family of Manson and Miss Karen Durschmidt of Ft. Dodge. The dinner honored the 24th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Essing. Gary Gal liart of Manson was an after noon caller.
