BenefieldJr. of Jefferson. She is thegranddaughter of Mrs. Justa Benefield and Mrs. Verla Stutz, both of Jefferson. She is presently serving as Assistant Director of Nurses at New Boston General Hospital,New Boston, Texas.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Minor W. Davis,Sr. of Texarkana, Texas. He is co-owner of Davis Farms, Inc. of Texarkana.Lady Jaycees Hold Organizational MeetingOn Thursday, January 30, an organizational meeting of the Lady Jaycees was held at the home of Mrs. Shirley Corley. The Lady Jaycees will be an auxiliary group of the Marion County Jaycees.Present at the Thursday meeting were Mrs. Sherry Allinder, Mrs. Judy Beatty,Mrs. Shirley Corley, Mrs. Glenda France, Mrs. Cynthia Koontz, Mrs. Becky Spellings, Mrs. Colleen Taylor, and Mrs. Wanda Thornton.The eight women looked at the Jaycee Ettes scrapbook owned by Mrs. Wanda Thornton, formerly the president of the Atlanta Jaycee-Ettes.The next meeting will be held Thursday, February 6, at 6 p. m. The meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Judy Beatty at 203 E. Clarksville in Jefferson. The aeen-da for the February 6 meeting will be the election of officers. Anyone desiring information about the Lady Jaycees may call Mrs. Sherry Allinder at 665*2700, or any of the other members.ATTEND THE CHURCH OFYOUR CHOICEage by her father, was attired in an empire, candelight chiffon gown, designed with pleated sleeves and bib. The standup collar, bib and cuffs of the bishop sleeves were traced with Venise lace with a streamer of candlelight ribbon dotted with candlelight French flowers. Thesoft chiffon skirt with added back fullness, and bordered with the Venise lace, swept into a chapel train. Her tiered illusion chapel veil with maching lace tracing the edge, fell from a camelot bonnet. She carried a bouquet of miniature mauve roses placed on a covered Bible. The Bible had been a gift to the bride on her first birthday by her great-grandmother.Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. Felicia Me Cann of Texarkana, matron of honor; and Mrs. Joe B. Burgess of Tyler, bridesmaid. They wore identical long dusty mauve gow ns of qiana nylon, designed with long full sleeves and gathered empire bodice. The fluid skirt fell from a deep v-shape midriff waist. The attendants carried bouquets of tricolored mauve carnations, with matching flowers fashioned for their hair.Serving as best man was the' groom’s brother, Minor W. Davis, Jr. of Texarkana. Ushers were Leo Bounds of Austin; Bill Wade, John Hill, both of Texarkana; Joe B. Burgess of Tyler: and JamesM Benefield III of Jefferson, brother of the bride. Candles were lighted before the ceremony by James Kevin Me Cann of Texarkana, nephewof the bride.Mr. and Mrs. Benefield were hosts for a reception following the ceremony at Northridge Country Club. Those in the house party were Libby Davis, sister of the groom; Mrs. Minor W. Davis,Jr. , and Carolyn Liles. Dis-0tributing the candlelight rice bass was Kerri Davis, niecew -mof the groom.Following a trip to Acapulco, the couple will make their home in Texarkana, Texas.Joe Wayne Dennis, a senior at Jefferson High School, has been notified that he was featured in the eighth annual edition of Who’s Who Among American High School Students 1973-74, the largest student award publication in the nation.Students from over 20, 00 public, private and parochial high schools throughout the country are recognized for their leadership in academics, athletics, activities or community service in the books, less than 3lt; of the junior and senior class students nationwide are avard-wi this recognition.'Jefferson.He is an Eagle Scout, re -ceived honorable mention on the football 7-AAA All District defensive second team. He attended Boys' State his junior year, he is a member of the choir, is active in church work, community work, is on the honor roll, Junior achievement, oath fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Junior Historians.Joe Wayne plans to enter North Texas in the fall tostudy business.
