CLARKMiss Joyce Newell Weds William ClarkNow at home following a wedding trip to the mountains are Mr. and Mrs. William Lewis Clark whose marriage was solemnized Dec. 30 at the East Side Baptist Church. The Rev, Chalmus McMillen performed the ceremony.She Is the former Joyce Newell, - daughter-of- -Mr. -and -Mrs. John A. Newell and he Is the son of Mr and Mrs. Andrew Branson Clark, Jr.Mrs. Cham McMillen was the organist and Mrs. Alice Faye Clark- was soloist.Andrew Branson Clark HI,psaccessories. A blue silk suit and matching accessories was worn by—the groom’s mother.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of angel skin peau de soie appli-qued with embroidered Alencon laoe and scooped neckline trimmed with seed pearls. The skirt featured. - bell- silhouette andthe groom’s brother was best j a cjrcuiar chapel train. Her veilman. Ushers were Dan Smith of Auburn, Ala. and Johnny C. Carr of Thomasville,Miss Janice Rehberg of Thom-asvile was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary-anne Delaney and Miss Jane Clark, the groom’s sister, both of ’ Thomasville. * « - -The attendant* were oressed identically in cherry red velvet gowns fashioned with empire waists. They wore headpieces of matching tulle and carried nosegays of pink miniature carnations.Miss Traci Newell of Sanders-ville, Miss, was the flower girl and Julian Shiver of Thomasville was the ringbearer.The bride’s mother wore a green lace dress with matchingof imported French silk illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls. A diamond pendant, gift of the groom, was her only ornament A cascade of whtte phalanop-sis orchids and lilies of the valley made up the bridal bouquet.Assisting at the reception held In the Fellowship Hall of the church were Mrs. Judi Spradlin and Miss Judy McGalliavd of Boston and Mrs. Shirley Carr and Mrs. Susie A, Quinn of Thomasville.The bride chose an off white fitted wool coat - dress with brown accessories for her wedding trip.The couple Is making their home on the Fredonia Church Road.
