Yesterday, at the residence of the bride’s parents, William J. Smith, of Courtland, was united in marriage with Miss Minnie Gntenber-ger, Rev. John F. von Herrlieh ofliciating. The ceremony was performed in the parlors, which had been tastefully decorated with various tioral pieces and trailing smiiax. Mbs Ida M. Smith, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaid, and Frank E. Hollister as groomsman. The marriage was performed with a ring, in accordance with the ritual of the Episcopal Church. Alter ibe ceremony and congratulations of friends all were invited into the dining-room, where a line wedding diuuer was served. On the table were two ponderous wedding cakes, one of which was bioken by the bride, the other by the groom. The couple were toasted in bumpers of champagne, and many were the expressions of ‘Tong lives and happy ones.” The bride is the accomplished daughter of ex-City Trustee William outenberger, a young lady born, raised and educated in this city: a young lady who has hos’s of friends. The groom is the eldest son of George A. Smith, the well-known farmer at Courtland. Both the bride and groom were born in Sacramento county, and have been acquaintances since childhood. They left on the afternoon tr*in for San Fraucisco, where they will spend a brief honeymoon. Their future home will be at Courtland.
