A Rouble Wedding.A double wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, this morning, the parties in one case being James O’Reilly, a wealthy gentleman from New York, and Miss MaryHopkins and in the other James O’Brien, agent in Middletown for Shaw Hinch-cliffe’s Etgle Brewery, and Miss Katie II jpkins. The brides are sisters and daughters of Mr. Simon Hopkins, of this village. The ceremony was performed by Rev. P. J. Prendergat. Both bridal parties left town for New York this afternoon on the 1.10 train. A large crowd of friends and well-wishers assembled at the depot to see them off.It may be mentioned in this connection that popular reporf has it that Mr. .O'Reilly made his bride a present of f15,000—the largest wedding gift ever recorded in thisvicinity.
