James Howard of Yates Center and Rev. Phil Harris of Atlanta.HAPPY BIRTHDAYThe bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father.She was attired in a white satin wedding gown featuring an erhpire waistline, Victorian collar and long full sleeves fitted tightly at the wrist with wide cuffs. Her skirt fell into a chapel length train with a deep ruffle edging the gown and her chapel veil fell from a tiara of hearts and a white rose. Kathy Whiteman of Atlanta, and Denise Swope of Burden were candlelighters. Roletha Looney daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Looney of Atlanta was flower girl. All the girls wore red crushed velvet floor-length gowns with empire waistlines and Victorian collars and carried white muffs accented with red holly berrie and green holly.Dale Koehn of Wellington was best man. Groomsmen were Ed Patton of Burden, Lyman Wheeler, Rock and Denton Kindy. brother of the groom. Denton Kindy and Lyman Wheeler also served as ushers. Steven and David West, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Larry West, of Mount Vernon, Missouri were ringbearers.Sylvia and Nyla Wheeler were soloists accompanied by Mrs James Wheeler.The brides mother was attired in a lime green floor-length gown. The mother of the groom chose a blue and white street length suit. The mothers and the grandmothers wore white mum corsages with holly berries and holly. All the men wore peppermint mum boutonnieres.The reception followed in the Atlanta Community Building. Mrs. Bill Call, Winfield, was in charge of the reception assistedby Mrs. James Looney, Atlanta. Mrs. Denzil Conrad, Winfield, and Mrs. Mary Bennett, Winfield. Annette Thornton, Overland Park and Kathy Mueller, Wichita served at the reception table Mrs. James Wheeler baked the wedding cake. Mrs. Jerry Conrad, Wichita, served as florist and also assisted with the reception.Karen Kindy, sister of the groom, was in charge of the gift table.
