LATE JANUARY NUPTIALS |Mr. and Mr*.ROMAN—McGARYMiss Shirley Rae Roman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Roman, Lover’s Lane, Fern Creek, and Airman Phillip W. McGary, son of Mr, and Mrs. Phillip M, McGary, of Louisville, were married at 0 p.m. Saturday, January 2fl, in Cedar Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. William D. Martin officiated at the double ring ceremony,Escorted on the arm of her father, the bride wore a white velvet wallz-length gown, seed peari trim neckline, and a finger-tip-iength veil. She carried I lilies of the valley centered with a white orchid on a Hible.Mrs. Cad Holliger was her sister’s matron of' honor. Mrs. Floyd l.ewellyn, Misses Betty Jo McGary, sister of the bridegroom, niann Roman, cousin of the bride, and Janie Robinson were the bridesmaids. They wore red velveteen waltz,-length gowns and matching licadpieees and carried heart shaped bouquets of carnations, ted velveteen, was flower girl, Master Gary Wayne Roman, brother of the bride, was ring-bearcr.Mr, Robert H Schneider was the best man. The ushers were Dr, William Biggs, Messrs. Roy Lee Roman, Jr., brother of the bride; Ronald Pitts and Albert Near.A reception was held at the church, Mr, and Mrs. McGary left on their wedding trip to Chicago. She will return to the University of Kentucky, when he resumes his duties at the Naval Air Station at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, He expects to receive his discharge in September.Phil McGarytrain, Her fingertip veil of illusion was adjusted by a loce and satin cap and she carried a bouquet of hyacinths centered with a white orchid. The matron of honor carried a white orchid and the bridesmaids lavender, each with a deep purple center.Mr, Rene Haldimann was his brother's best man, and Messrs.
