Grant photoPicard-Coles Rites are Set for SpringLinked hearts on a large cake disclosed the betrothal of Marilyn Dorothy Coles and Robert Picard over the week end, although Marilyn had been wearing her diamond since the holidays,Plans for a June wedding ^were disclosed when friends assembled Saturday at the home of Bob’s mother, Mrs. Marie Picard, 14333 Haynes St. Marilyn is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Russell Coles Jr. of Granada Hills, a Van Nuys High School graduate and a native daughter.Bob, a World War II veteran, attended Van Nuys and Los Angeles City College, and is employed at Van Nuys Post Office. He is a member of Van Nuys Post 103, American Legion and the Eagles, and both are active in the Fabian Club. They will be married during’ a nuptial mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church, Van Nuys.On hand to hear the news were Messrs. and Mines. RusseU Coles Jr., Richard Picard, William Picard, Spaulding Shanks, Edward Shanks, W. A. Anton, Ray Brennan, William Stevenson, Charles Lipusquz-ena, Gene Cashen, Misses Chloe Daywalt, Yvonne Burke, Myrna and Dolores Coles,- Robert Pittman, and John DeBreau.
