NEW FACES IN TOWNBeacon Hill Church Has New PastorTexas City’s loss was San Antonia's gain and the congregation of Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church is very glad of it.Their new pastor, the Rev. Kenry W. Quinius, Jr., and his family arrived here during the second week of January and have settled in their residence at 908 W. Mulberry.The reputation of San Antonio, which was as yet untarnished by the past week of “unusual” weather, was well known to them-And—-with no aspersions cast at Texas City —they were eager to come here and see for tnemseives now it would be to live among the hi Us and trees, in the pretty town with the wonderful (most of the time) climate.Mr. and Mrs. Quinius have two children, Corinne Elizabeth, 5, who is better known as Libby, and Susan, 21 months.From June, 1943,'until they came here, he was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Texas City, He was on the Texas City Relief Committee, representing the Protestant people, during the disastrous explosion period in the spring of 1947.Mrs. Quinius, who grew up in Farmers-viile, was Miss Emma Lou Wright before their marriage in December, 1943. She received her bachelor of business administration degree at the University of Texas in the fall- ■ *vjy£MRS. HENRY W. QUINIUS, JR.before becoming a Mrs. She is a member of Delta Delta Delia Sorority and while at the university was on occasional visitor in San Antonio.Mr. Quinius is a graduate of Waco High School, Schreiner Institute and the University of Texas. He received his bachelor of divinity degree at Austin Theological Seminary.
