Mr. and Mrs. John Speet are shown cutting the wedding cake at the reception following their marriage Friday night. Mrs. Speet is the former Henrietta Doornbos, daughter of Marinus Doornbos, 134 West 20th St. The groom’s parents are Mr and Mrs. Adrian Speet of Holland. The wedding service was read by candlelight in the home of the bride before a setting of palms, bouquets of white snap dragons, giadioli and mums. The Rev. Harold Colenbrander of Hud sonville performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white slipper satin fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and full skirt which extended into a long train. She wore a fingertip veil held in place with a seed pearl tiara and carried a bouquet of red roses and white snapdragons. (Louisma photo) Bridal attendants were Miss Joyce Doornbos, sister of the bride, and Miss Elaine Deur, Miss Doornbos wore a yellow taffeta gown and carried Talisman roses and red and white snapdragons. Miss Deur wore aqua satin with yellow roses and white snapdra gons. They wore roses in their hair and matching mitts. Bert Hoffmeyer assisted the groom as best man and Tony Speet, brother of the groom, seat ed the guests. A reception for 60 guests fol lowed the ceremony. During the program Miss Betty Bateman sang “I Love You Truly,” “Oh Promise Me’”’ and “My Hero.” She Was accompanied by Mrs. Colen brander. Miss Jerry Hirschy play ed a cello solo, “Because.” Mr. and Mrs. Speet are living at 134 West 20th St. Mr. and Mrs. John Speet
