-[beMERRYMAN—HOLMES.The most brilliant social affair of the season was the wedding of Miss Roma Holmes to Mr. Wilson Merry man, on last Tuesday evening, at the First M, E. Church.The church was decorated with a white drapery and plants; the drapery forming a dome at the alter under which the bride and groom stood during the ceremony.The ushers, Messrs. Hensley, Acker, Quinn, and Foreman, met the bride and groom at the north eutrance and escorted them to the alter,—Messrs. Foreman and Hensley escorting the bride, and Quinn and Acker the groom. The bridal party was met at the alter by the pastor, Rev. G. B. Work who performed the ceremony.The bride was attired in cream broad clotb, en train, trimmed in fringe, brocade silk and ribbons; carrying roses.The groom wore the conventional black Buit. *After the ceremony a reception was held at their elegant new residence on north Fifth street.They were assisted in receiving by the Misses Mary and Rachael Merry-man.After receiving the congratulations the wedding supper was Berved. , .Seventy persons were in attendance.The presents were numerous and valuable.
