Jerome Man Wed To California GirlJEROME — At a double ring ceremony performed in the Little Chapel of the Flowers, Berkeley, Calif., on Jan. 17, Miss Clarissa Blackburn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Blackburn of Oakland, Calif., became the bride of James Westfall, TM 2/c. son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Westfall of Jerome.The ceremony was performed by Bishop Dennis Lauper of Oakland, in the presence of relatives and intimate friends.Mrs. Joseph Tanner of Oakland sang “O Promise Me1' and “Because” preceding the marriagevows.The bride, gowned in sheer white silk styled with long sleeves and | trim of point d’Alencon lace, was given in marriage by her father. Her finger-tip veil was held in place with a coronet of baby rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of white roses.Mrs. Gregory Knight, gowned In a powder blue sheer formal, was matron of honor. She carried a bouquet of pastel sweet peas. Gregory Knight, AMM 2/c, was best man.A reception was held following the ceremony at the bride’s home. The couple left for a trip to Jerome, arriving here last Sunday. They also visited with Pvt. and Mrs. Clair Rickett of Merced, Calif.The bride attended Jerome high school during her sophomore year and was graduated from the Oakland high school in 1944.The bridegroom is a graduate of the Jerome high school with the class of 1939 and entered the service in 1942. He has just returned from 10 months submarine duty in the south Pacific. Following a 31-day leave he will report to New London, Conn., forreassignment.
