A bride and bridegroom of Saturday, Jan. 18 are Miss Juanita Halsey, daughter of Mrs. Ruth Halsey, 11% S. College St. and Mr. Raymond Rardin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rardin, who were married in a ceremony at Russell, Kentucky. The service took place in the Methodist Church in Russell. Mrs. Rardin, who was graduated from Athens High School in June, 1940, was chosen as “Miss Athens” in a beauty contest, later representing this city at the conclusion of an air tour of the state, sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce of the state. She was a pledge of Alpha Gamma Delta, following her high school graduation. Mr. Bardin, whose high school activities included the role of cheerleader, attended Ohio University, after his graduation from Ath ens High School. He was pledged by Beta Theta Pi. Following their marriage in Kentucky and a visit in Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Rardin left for Columbus where Mr. Rardin is associat ed with his uncle, Mr. P. F. Johnson, brother of Mrs. Rardin, Sr., as assistant manager of the Freckers Malted Milk Shop in the Ohio State University district. Mr. and Mrs. Rardin are making their home at 357 E. Eleventh Ave., Columbus. Mrs. Raymond Rardin, the former Juanita Halsey who was “Miss Athens” in a statewide air tour last year, is a bride of Saturday, Jan. 18.
