War Meeting at Warner’s Hall.—Anenthusiastic gathering of the colored men of Chi* cago was held last night at Warner’s IlaB on Randolph street. Owing to the insufficiency of the notice, and the distance of the hall from the residences of the prominent colored men, and the fact that recruiting agents of other States had conspired to create a wrong impression of the object and aims of the meeting, the attendance was email, hut made up In enthusiasm what It lacked In numbers.The meeting was called to order by Rev. A. Kenyon, who nominated H. Ford Douglas as Chairman, and Mr. White as Secretary.Mr. Douglas spoke at some length and most eloquently upon the demands of the hoar, andtho duty of colored men to their country in this emergency, and showed conclusively that reason, gratitude and patriotism demanded the laying aside of all minor considerations, and entering with heart -and soul into the work of crushing out the rebellion. Mr. Douglas is an excellent speaker and enunciated his opinions with much clearness and eloquence. Interesting remarks were make by other speakers.We learn it is contemplated soon to hold another meeting in oce of the colored Chapels of this city, where this class of citizens can be more easily reached.
