Mrs. Cook,Mr. SpencerAre MarriedIn a ceremony at throe o'clock Sunday afternoon, December 27, in the chapel of the Broad Street Methodist Church, Mrs. Hu by Kirk-man Cook was married to William DeWitt Spencer. Rev. Julian Lindsey, pastor of the church, heard the vows. Music was provided by Mrs. Harold R. Wilson, organist.For her wedding the bride chose a royal blue suit, with matching hat and accessories. Her corsage was of phalaonopsis orchids.After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. James Augustus Deaton. Mr. and Mrs. James McNoely Deaton. Jr., and Mrs. Billie Deaton Price were hosts at an informal reception and cake-cutting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Deaton, junior, in Forest Hills. Mrs. Paul M Deaton completed the cutting of the wedding cake, and Mrs. J. A. Deaton served punch.The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Joseph Kirk-man.
