Hamed.A beautiful wedding took place at the home of' Isaac North, in Kidge township, on December 35, at high noon, when Clifford Pence, an estima^ ble young man of Tork township, and Miss Bessie H North, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac^North, were declared husband and wife, by Rev. Margaret Craig. The bride and groom, accompanied by tbe minister, marched to the parlor, where the marriage vows were sealed. The groom wore the conventional black, while the bride was clad in blue silk. About fifty guests Tvere present to enjoy tbe occasion. After the ceremony was performed, they were marched to the dining room, where refreshments were served, which consisted of turkey and chicken, and an abundance of every thing good. After dinner the guests w*ere treated with a fine serenade, by several neighbors, Mr. Roberts being the captain of the party, who w’ith his genial spirit, knew how to give the party a good time. Every one present could truly say ur© had a merry Christmas time. Those present from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert, 'of Denver, Colorado: Mr. and Mrs. Miller, Fort Wayne; Mr. and Mrs. Ijeffingwell. Decatur, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell. VSn Wert; Mr. and Mrs. O. C. lollock. Middle Point; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pence, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Craig and a host of other relatives of the family. The bride and groom were the recipients of a number of beautiful presents. They are now at home in York township.
