SOCIETYMARRIED SATURDAY EVENINGThO'ipiarriage of Miss Anna Gene Wiedenfeld, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Wiedenfeld, ;o Rev. George MacDonald, son Mr. and Mrs. D, P. MacDonald of Galveston, was solemnized in fche.Awressive double ring service Saturday evening in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Kerr, pastor of the church, officiating,■ The ceremony was rend nt. candlelight, with myriads of white tapers burning in the wrought iron candlabra. White poinsettias and foliage formed the background for the bridal party. Miss Carolyn Lochte, soprano, sang Cadman’s “At Dawning,” and Bond's “I Love You Truly,” for the ceremony. 'Ivan Horn of Austin was the accompanist, and also played the traditional wedding marches.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of heavy white brocaded satin, made with the mandarin neckline, and the long torso bodice. The flared skirt formed a cathedral train. She wore a veil of French illusion, caught to her fair hair with a cornet of waxen orange blossoms. These same blossoms were used by her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Louis Wieden-field of Comfort, at her wedding 53 years ago. She carried a long boquet of gardenias and stephan-otis.Her attendants were Miss Bettie Eekelkamp of Raymomlville, maidof honor; Mrs. Bob Brill, Austin, matron of honor; Mrs. Clifton Phillips, Jr., of Austin and Mrs. Bob Vaughn of Mineral Wells, Their dresses were fashioned after that of the bride, with the exception of the three quarter sleeves and the floor length skirts. They were fashioned of deep rose moire taffeta, and they carried maroon chrysanthemums.After the wedding a reception was held in the home of the bride’s parents at Kerr View Farm. Assisting with the reception and the serving were Mrs. Louis Wieden-feld, Mrs. Walter Stieler, Mrs. Bernard Stieler, Mrs. Roy Will-man and Mrs, Eddie Wiedenfeld, ail of Comfort; Mesdames Clinton Wolf of El Paso; L. L. Ottinger, Frank Elkins, Tommy Nelms of Houston, Felix Sprott, Bodo Kole-kamip) Rex McElvoy, Tom Syfan and Thomas D. Hall.For the wedding Mrs. Wiedenfeld wore a dross of lavendar crepe with gaixlenias as her corsage, and Mrs. MacDonald, mother of the groom, wore mauve crepe, with gardenias as her flowers.Later in the evening the young couple left for a wedding trip, after which they will be at home in Austin. For traveling the bride wore a Fred Block suit of brown, with alligator accessories and a brown velour hat.The bridegroom is a student in the graduate school in the Uni-! versity while serving as the pastor of the Bee Caves Baptist Church.
