M. Gibbs, on Main street, was the scene of a pretty wedding at noon on Christmas Day, when Mr. A Ison S. Benedict and Miss Margie Gibbs were unied in marriage by their pastor, Uev. W. N. Burr. To the music of Mendelsshon’s “Wedding March,'3 played by Miss Mamie DrinKwafcer, the happy couple entered the room unattended, and_the brief but impressive words were soon Bpoken which made them man and wife. After the ceremony the wedding dinner was served at the home of James Wallace, on Garretson avenue. Later, Mr. and Mrs Benedict took the train for Los Angeles, where they will remain abouta week, when thev will return to Co-* •rorm, and soon begin housekeeping in their own home.Among those present at this wedding were Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Gibbs. Mr. and Mrs.'James Wallace, Miss Nealie Gibbs, Charlie Gibbs, P. W. Oakley, Gertrude Oakley, Lewis Oakley, Rev. W. N. Burr ami wife, Mrs. George Brown, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ware, Mr. and Mrs. J. ,1. Sehleismun, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Kellner, Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Austin, Grace Taber. Mable Taber, Dollie Raney. Mable Crittenden, Ada Crittendon, Mr. Will Gibbs, of Los Angeles, Holland Burr and Elsie Brown.Mr. and Mrs. Benedict are both members of the Congregational church and active workers in the Christian Endeavor society, and “Margie Gibbs” has been for. several years one of the faithful members of Mrs. Brown’s Sunday school class of young ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Benedict are also active in the Odd Fellows and Rebekuh lodges.
