JamiBon-Standley.The residence of our tellow townsman J. M, Stand ley and wife was the scene of a bappy event on Sunday evening last. It was the marriage of their eldest daughter, Miss Minnie, to James A. Jamison, Jr., Ukiah*s postmaster. The words which linked forever the hearts of this happy pair were uttered by Rev. H. 0. Meredith, Mr. Bertrand Gibson and Miss Nellie Standley acting as groomsman and bridesmaid. Only the relatives of the contracting parties and a few near friends were in attendance, and when the ceremony was concluded and usual congratulations had been offered, all sat down to a suraptous wedding repast. Mr. and Mrs. Jamison were made the recipients of many handsome and useful presents which they took with them to their new home in the rooms over the post-office.Both parties have manv friends, in fact are two of the most popular and most respected of our young people, and they begin life with the heartiest well wishes of all. In this wish for their future the Dispatch fervently joins. May their ship oi life be ever freighted with happi ness, and may its voyage be through only Bmooth waters where exist not the rocks of trouble and adversity.
