Artz, Ayers Pair Weds In C. GroveThe Lutheran Chapel Church at China Grove was the scene at 6 p.m. Monday of the wedding of Miss Mary .Jane Ayers and David Fred “Dave Artz.Officiating were the Rev. Harry L. Rau Jr. of Salisbury, former pastor of the bride, and the Rev. Janas Pauly of Kannapolis, pastor of the bridegroom.The Rev. Mr. Rau also presented vocal selections. Organist was Mrs. Glenda Poole of China Grove.Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W Ayers of Patterson St. Kxt., China Grove, the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Roy Barnette of Hoke St., Kannapolis, had his stepfather for best man.Three brothers of the bridegroom, Jim, Tim and Steve Artz, ashered with a brother-in-law, Keith Cauthen; a brother-in-law of the bride, Flton Crowe; and Mark Kimball of China Grove.Kurt Rau served as crucifer.
