Nuptial music was given by Jo Archer, organist, and Mrs, Duane Hall,vocalist.from high school and junior col- wlege at Kemper Military School,Boonville, Mo. He is a senior atEmporia State Teachers College and an affiliate of Pi Gamma Mu, national honorary social j science fraternity. !fahlt;steiThe bride’s floor-length gown of bridal satin was designed with a basque bodice featuring an as-symetrica! neckline appliquedwith Chantilly lace, re-embroider-* ■ed with iridescent sequins and pearls, and long tapered sleeves.Appliques of re-embroidered lace enhanced t h e voluminous skril, and the back waistline was accented with a large butterfly bow. Her bouffant illusion veil fell from a crown of tiny pearls trimmed with pearl teardrops. Her bridal bouquet was of red roses and stephanotis.Attendants for the bride included her sister, Sandra Mathias, maid of honor; Nancy Fivian, the groom’s sister, and Ronna Covev, of Holton. They woreV ' Vgowns of red velveteen and nylon organza.Velveteen bodices were designed with scoop necklines and three-quarter length sleeves, and bouffant skirts were of organza. They carried white fur muffs and wore fur headbands and red carnation and holly corsages.The bride’s cousin, Sheri Se« right, who lighted the candles, wore a dress with full red organza skirt and red velvet bodice, and a matefiing headband, Julie Selby, flower girl, wore a dress with red velvet bodice and white organza skirt, and a white fur headband.Charles Shoemaker was best man, and ushers were Ronald L. Grimsley, of Kansas City, and Thomas L. Maupin, Fulton, Mo. David Geiss was ring bearer.The bride’s mother wore a beige w?ool dress with brown accessories and red carnation corsage. The groom’s mother wore a red carnation corsage with her blue crepe dress with bone accessories.Red tapers and holly decorated the reception table in the church dining room, The table was covered with a white lace cloth made by the bride’s maternal grandmother, Mrs. Grant Oakes, Florence, Colo., and centered with a four-tier wedding cake.Hostesses were Mrs. Jack Church and Mrs. Don Priddy, Topeka, and Sue Hamilton, Wichita, assisted by Sharon Bennett, Janet and Joyce Cox. In charge of gifts were Mrs. Jack Stewart and Reta Riggs, Emporia. Judy Carpenter, Kansas City, was at the guest book.Mr. and Mrs. Fivian went on a short wedding trip and will be at home at 836 N. Oak.
